  • turkeys at HEB (riverside brand i believe) get down to $0.89/lb about. sooo depends on how big of a turkey you need. honestly, the sooner you get your turkey, the better watch the ads in the mail!

  • I buy a (roughly) $22 turkey (22 lbs - roughly a dollar a pound, depending) to feed about 15 people. Stuffing maybe costs $3 between the butter, breadcrumbs and veggies. A couple of vegetable side dishes - call it another $10-$15, including stock, cream, butter, any spices you don't have, etc. Dessert - a pie shouldn't cost more than $5 to make, presuming you have all the spices. It's when you have to restock your spice cabinet that this stuff gets pricey!

So what is that? $50-$75 for 15 people? Have someone else bring appetizers, wine and sodas.

  • How many people?? HEB or even Kroger. Check this out also... greenberg turkey (Tyler, TX) Wonderful..pricey but worth it!!! Already cooked. Mashed Potato's, Green Bean Casserole or even Sweet Potato Souffle, Pinto Beans cooked w/ham bone, you can really plan great sides at a reasonible price. Good Luck!
