What can I do to make my living room seem larger?

There really isn't much in it now so taking something out to open up space doesn't make much sense to me.

  • I agree with both of the above suggestions. Try different arrangements of your furnishings. Use light colors on both the walls and the floor to make it look larger. We have a long, narrow living room and had to try a lot of different arrangements until we found one that really works for that room.

  • Can you rearrange it? That always seemed to make mine look "bigger" for a while anyway.
