Are you a "spoiled" mom?

I'm 24, I stay at home with our daughter, my SO helps with her all the time we live together), I hang out with my friends at least once a week, and my family and SO's family are always around and very helpful...
Well my MIL, I love her to death, sometimes jokes about how I am such a spoiled mom. When she had her kids, dads didnt help with diapers, cooking or cleaning... And she didnt get to go out with her friends...
Would you consider yourself a spoiled mom?
I guess in my MIL's definition, i am, but I dont see myself as spoiled, I'm just lucky and loved!

  • No, no I'm not. I work full time and take care of the kids at night while DH works 60+ hours per week.

  • My husband helps with baths, feeding, diaper changes, bed time, and so on. I wouldn't consider myself spoiled, but I am lucky to have a 'hands on' father for my children.

  • You are loved. That is the way love is shown...by helping your SO with daily chores and spending time with the family. Spoiled is when they try to show love by just buying you stuff and not spending time or helping out

  • She prob just means her son helps you more then her Husband did. Which in a way its a compliment. My husband helps he may change one diaper a week. I remember my grandmother saying men didn't do that sort of thing back in the day. They barely held children. Thats the " womans Job" Nothing wrong with being spoiled. I'd say my Husband is a great daddy and helps when he can and I am probably spoiled to my grandmother.

  • I think we spoil each other - we both work full time and do as much as we can equally with our son and the household duties.
