  • Are you guys together, or...? Not living together? I'm not understanding how your significant other doesn't see your child if you are together. When you see him, baby would be there... right?

  • If you've encouraged him to do so, I would think that's all you can do. There are so many deadbeat dads out there that just keep hurting there kids (some moms too). You can't change him or make him do anything, all you can do is be honest and supportive of your child growing up, and hope maybe there is a better father-figure that comes into your child's life some day. So sorry for your son! :(

  • Some dads are freaked out by babies then really excell at parenting toddlers and older children.

Have you spoken to him about this in a nonconfrontational way?

  • We live together I have talked to him numerous times he gets up before everyone and takes off and doesn't come home til everyone is in bed asleep he doesn't even get up at night to take care of the baby the only time he does anything is when I get pissy and give him dirty looks every now and then give him the silent treatment
