add 4 front teeth taken out!

Well my 2 year old little girl had to have her 4 front teeth removed. I know she's still young but I was wondering if I should wait till she gets closer to school age to get her a bridge for her mouth or go ahead and get one already for her.

  • I don't see the point in buying a bridge unless you plan on having her adult teeth pulled as well. Most kids start loosing their teeth around 5 years old, so by the time she starts school she won't be singled out because of her not having teeth. She can just tell them that she lost them because she's a big girl now and she'll get big girl teeth soon.

  • My son had his top four teeth pulled when he was two. He is 4 and a half now and the dentist has never said a thing about a bridge. Why spend the money when they will get their adult teeth around five. We have never had an issue with him not having his teeth. He can even eat corn on the cob better than most other kids I know. It does not bother him and if you are worried about other people, I can tell you very few people even notice.

  • It is her baby teeth she had removed. Won't her second teeth be coming in? What does the dentist say?

  • they where her baby teeth. She had a bacteria in her mouth that was hereditary and cause them to decay.

  • her dentist is worried her teeth will come in crooked. I didn't want to buy anything that I didn't have too.

  • I had my two front teeth removed when I was two and never had a bridge - at least I don't think I did.... They grew back by the time I was 5 or 6, if I remember, and they're fine. :)
