  • Depends on what you mean by "sleeping through the night" and whether or not you are breastfeeding. If you are bf and go 9-10 hours too early, it can diminish your supply. All 5 of mine were sleeping at least 8 hours by 2 months, but breastfeeding had been well established with all of them before that happened.

  • Sleeping through the night is not a developmental milestone. Some children do not sleep for more than 4 hours at a stretch until they are 4 or 5. That is normal.

If you are breastfeeding, early night weaning and "sleep training" has been linked to failure to thrive. Bottle fed infants also need night time feedings. Cutting night time feedings can lead to digestive problems and growth problems,

  • My oldest didn't sleep through the night till 3 years old DEAD SERIOUS!!! Now that she is 4 she is basically in bed by 9p and sleeps till 7a only waking if she is really thirsty or needs to potty and then she has no problems going back to sleep.

Baby is 14 months and she started sleeping through the night (6 hours straight) at 4 months we didn't even try she just did it. She goes down around 8p sleeps till about 7a .She is teething/growth spurt currently so she goes down between 9a she fights sleep lately and wakes up around 4a then gets up for the day at 7a,
