My son has a birthday party at a museum to attend, we don't know the child very well, but it is for a two year old. I don't know what to get for a gift, I don't want to spend too much. Suggestions?

  • You could find an inexpensive learning toy possibly? I would think anything age appropriate would be fine.

  • My 2 year old plays with Shake N Go cars ($10), his train set (AC Moore has 50% off coupons which bring Thomas stuff down into a reasonable price range), Matchbox cars, a kickball, books.

  • Since the parents chose a museum to host the party I assume they are education/science minded. Select a gift that has a teaching quality or perhaps artistic even. Toys R US has these awesome GIANT magnifying glasses that would be great for a two yr old. I think they are ten bucks. They also have bug vacuums, bug houses etc.

  • Museum parties are very expensive even if you are a member. I would spend at least $20 on a gift.
