  • "average" is 5 but sometimes earlier and sometimes later.

  • I think 6 is average. The longer they keep their baby teeth, the better it is for their big teeth.

  • There is no set time. My first was 4, my second was almost 6, my thried just lost her first and she's 5 1/2. Supposedly the longer it takes to lose the baby teeth the healtheir the adult teeth will be. Did he get his teeth "late" as an infant too? I really wouldn't worry about it.

  • im just curious...but his first tooth grew in at 6 months right before x-mas and the second one a few days later, it was sooo cute.

  • Every child is really different with this. My daughter lost her first tooth before she even started kindergarten. She was I think 5 years and 3 months old. My son is almost 5 years 9 months and no sign of even a loose tooth.

  • my oldest was 6 and then her younger sister was 5 when the first fell out, but that was because she went face first onto the floor when she was laying on a ball. (which of course she found funny)
