What is the one thing you got every year that you wish you didnt

Every year my parents always bought me barbies. I hated barbies. I asked for different things and ask them to stop getting me barbies. They never listened. They continued the barbie thing till I was 14. By then I had over 20 unopened barbies in my closet. I finally just gave them all to charity and it pissed my mother off.

  • I can't think of anything! I had a somewhat dysfunctional home and my parents tried to buy my love at our local toys r us.

My husband, on the other hand .... he gets fancy wool socks and insulated flannel shirts annually from his mom. When we got married and moved in together I was horrified at this grave yard of wool socks and boxes of flannels. He'd usually cut one up each spring to wash the car, change the fluids, etc.

Now that we've been married 7 yrs she still does, but I've noticed she leaves the tags on. So we swap 'em out for.... well, ANYTHING but wool socks and flannels.
