  • I am doing the same thing on Christmas day. Some of my ideas are: ham pickle rolls, little hot dogs rolled in crescent rolls, fruit pizza, beer bread and dip and of course chips and dip. Hope this helps. Happy Holidays

  • Mmmm...appetizers! I could live on them! Is is a formal Christmas party or a casual Christmas party?

  • I like heavy on the veg --as those are rarely seen, and often gobbled. Not everyday stuff like veggie stix and dip... but interesting, unusual vegetable-based dips or spreads, like caponata, hummous, tapanade, baba ganouch, et cetera... yummy with some kind of interesting breads, bread sticks, or crackers.

  • I like to bring develed eggs because it's quick and easy and a bit different.

  • My favorite are bacon wrapped lil' smokies. Wrap a 1/4 of a slice of bacon around each smokie and secure with a toothpick. Spread them all out on a foil-lined baking sheet and sprinkle with about 1/4 -1/2 cup brown sugar. Bake in a 375 degree oven until the sugar melts and the bacon is cooked. They are SOOOO good.

  • I have planned some shrimp cocktail for the guests. Probably a caramel apple cheese ball with sliced apples.

  • I make stuffed japs. They are always a huge hit. I can send you the recipe if you want, just let me know. Even the kids eat them.
