  •  should apply to all matters of sexuality.

Straught people dont get fired for showing a pic of their loved ones. Most military men and women carry pics of their SO...There are events where family are invited....a gay soldier could be fierd for having his SO there where as a straight soldier could introduce his or her spouse proudly.

Its not about SEX, its about equality and being ablt to live openly and not LIE.

  • First .... I don't care if homosexuals want to join and serve in the military.

I don't think the creator of the video has created a very convincing analysis though ....
He says that it is wrong to make policy based on ideology so as not to offend the majority of the people. HOWEVER, he has no problem making policy based on ideology so as not to offend the minority of the people.

Policy shouldn't be made based on "not offending" a group of people. I guarantee you that if we held to this philosophy, that NO policy would be made, because policies are ALWAYS going to offend SOMEONE. If DADT was implemented so as "not to offend" Christians - then it is bad policy. But repealing it so as "not to offend" homosexuals is also bad policy.

IMO, sexuality shouldn't be a matter to be made public - whether you are gay or not. Heterosexuals shouldn't make their sex lives an open book, and neither should homosexuals. IMO DADT ...
