  • dont be scared! they will treat it mostly like a physical exam. weight, height, blood pressure, pregnancy test to make it official, paperwork, you will hear the heartbeat and depending on how far along you are, possibly a sonogram (you'll see the baby and maybe get some photos to take home!)

  • Why would you be scared!? You just get an ultrasound (could be in the vagina or on the belly) and you hear the babies heart beat.

  • Be happy not scared! Congratulations! You may get a pap smear if you haven't had one in a year. They'll do a slight internal to check your cervix. An ultrasound & heartbeat. Urine test and blood work if they offer that in the office, otherwise they'll send you to a lab. It all happens very fast. Best wishes!

  • don't be scared, its a piece of cake! kinda like a regular gyno exam, i didn't even have a pap cause i had just had one six months earlier. doc will check you with two fingers inside just to make sure you are growing right. but that will be the last time the doc will most likely do anything internal untill well into your 3rd trimester, unless you are having any kinds of complications. and the awesome bonus is they will most likely to an ultrasound to get a heartbeat-and that is super cool. then they will send you for bloodwork and give you tons of things to read
