  • Balagan, I've made tabouli with it, too! You don't put parsley in your tabouli? Olive oil? Onion? Salt?

I also like it with black beans, diced red bell peppers, corn, fresh cilantro, lime and salt. Yum!

  • DH likes to make tabuli with quinoa instead of bulgar wheat.
Cook up the quinoa, add tomato, cucumber, mint and lemon juice.

I like to eat basic quinoa for breakfast warmed up with milk, honey and some fruit (usually dried.)

  • Quinoa is a grain. A tasty, delightful grain. My family loves it with diced sweet potato, zucchini, onion, carrot, tomato sauce, garlic, garbanzos, and masala spices.

  • Quinoa is not a grain; it is actually in the same plant family as beets. It is the only plant-based food with the complete chain of amino acids.

I make quinoa for breakfast; and use it as I would rice, like in stuffed peppers.

  • It is in the same family as beets, but it is considered a whole grain with complete protein and has been considered so as far back as the Incas. See link.
