HCG levels

I can't seem to find anything online so wondering if anyone knows this: If the hcg hormone was detected early before a missed period and you tested positive on an early pregnancy test, could this mean good HCG levels? My positive pregnancy test was detected at just 11 days past ovulation.

  • Okay. Thanks. My HCG levels will need to be well above that, so hoping that they are when I have my first pre natal bloodwork done.

  • Did you do a OPT? I work for an infertility specialist and she will test 2 weeks after an IUI or IVF case at the earliest. Hope all is good with you!! :)

  • I had what is called "blighted ovum" pregnancies. Basically my HCG levels were high to start with but then went down as the pregnancy progressed (about 8-10wks). I had to have D&C's cause my body would not naturally miscarry. so, I would not rely heavily on how high they are now, sorry. If you have a history if miscarriages the same think that happened to me can happen to you. It is good thou that they are up there right now! Good luck
