The Economy in 2011?

What do you expect the economy will do in 2011, improve, stagnate, or go downhill even more?
And how do you plan to deal with it? What adaptations are you making as a family?

  • i think it will continue to go down hill . the items in the grocery store are more expensive, the packages are getting smaller so now you need to buy twice as much just to feed your family. gas prices are going up, tuition for college is also going up but there are hardly any jobs out there and no raises are being given............ were struggling thats what were doing. living pay check to paycheck and every month it gets harder to make it.

  • I seriously think the economy will get much much worse before it gets better. We live in a rural area and have firearms easily accessible, so we will never starve. My DF has invested in solar panels and other things to try to heat and power the house ourselves. Other than being self-sufficient, there isn't much we can cut down on.

  • I think it'll bounce along the bottom for about four to five more years, realistically. We aren't charging anything. We're knocking down our debt, cutting bills where we can (comcast), eating out less, buying less in general. We're eating out at lunch instead of dinner and staying home a lot on weekends. We've cut weekend getaways totally and I got a job.
