What does naive mean to you?

believing things without question or based on a tunnel-visioned viewpoint without seeing the reality of the bigger picture because you lack knowledge in certain areas?

  • naive means not knowing something but not because you dont wanna know. i just means you are innocent like a child. what you discribed as naive, i would more than likly describe as ignorant.

  • Naiive means that someone has not yet had the worldly and life experiences to understand a certain situation. They have no idea how to deal, cope, or decide inn a certain situation, and if given a choice, they would choose the one a child would.

  • If you made a group online and said "XYZ People Only", it would be naive to think you could control who joined. That to me is a good example.

  • Ignorant = lacking knowledge.

Yes, they are very similar. I think also means a certain amount of blindness, as well.

  • to me naive means someone who is blinded by false hope... like being in a relationship with someone who hits and says he wont do it again but yet does and you justify it saying he wont do it again... a child i suppose to be naive because they have a pure soul... as you get older you need to open your eyes to reality.
