  • As far as how much to feed well that depends on your child. I would at least offer then something every couple of hrs. Even if it's just a few slices of banana. However as long as your doc hasn't said they are underweight I wouldn't worry. I think my boys were around 17 or 18 pounds by that age but they were all around 8 pounds or more when they were born.

  • there is no exact weight every baby should weigh at 9 months, they all grow at different rates, as long as he is growing on his curve and your dr isnt worried, just feed him when hes hugnry. i've heard that babies should eat twice their weight so 32 ounces in 24 hours. i'm currently bfing my 5 month and i don't remember how much my son ate at that age.

  • There is no one weight. Typical expected gain is one pound per month. Another target to look at is double birthweight by six months, triple by one year.

  • My 11 month old is barely over 15lbs. Baby weights by age vary so much from baby to baby you should really just go by how your baby is doing. As for a 9 month old's diet, he should be getting between 24 and 32 oz of formula or breastmilk (or nursing on demand), and 3 meals a day of a TOTAL of 4+TB of fruits, 4+TB veggies, 4+TB cereal, and should be trying protein foods like meats and beans.

  • MOM he weighs what he is supposed to weigh. He also will eat what he is supposed to eat. Babies are more in tuned with their bodies than grown-ups. I think anyways.

  • sounds fine to me. how much was baby at birth? they normally triple their weight be 1 year so the "Average" baby is about 7 lbs at birth and 20 at 1 year. Sounds like your baby is near that.
Feed him as much food as he likes for each meal. 3 meals per day. maybe 5 if you count a small snack or 2 but DO NOT stop breastfeeding! Breast milk is still essential to his growth and development.
