  • Wait until 12 months. My mother had us on milk at 3 months. (I'm old) That doesn't mean it's right.

  • its not really necessary yet. if she doesnt want to drink water or juice that's just fine, her formula is all she needs. i would wait til 12 months.

  • As long as she does ok with it and it doesn't give her diarrhea or constipation an ounce or two should be ok. But she really doesn't have to drink anything with meals yet.

  • I would just offer her water at meals, if she is thirsty she will drink it. Or offer her formula at meals and just deduct whatever she drinks with her meal from the amount you give her at her bottle feedings. You could give her regular milk, too, I mean it probably won't really hurt her, but they do say it's better to wait until baby is a year before introducing milk. You want her to eat her foods at mealtimes and not just fill up on liquids anyway so I don't think it's bad that she isn't drinking with her meals.

  • she wont eat unless she has a few drinks inbetween. I didnt think it was such a big deal being only 2 months away....but a friend freaked out on me....and Im not talking a full cup I was just thinking sips to get her through the meal. Also the doctor said to start giving her table food....I just give her baby food still...

  • I had my son on 2% milk at 6 months. No more formula. All of the doctors I have talked to all agreed on 2% milk at 6 months and formula was not needed anymore. If u have any questions,u can message me.

  • Just keep offering water in a sippy with meals. Eventually she'll drink it, but until then she doesn't need anything other than her regular formula. Replace the formula with milk after age 1.

  • So what has she been drinking with meals up until now?

Yes, definitely move on to table foods... offering water from your glass, or in a glass with a straw is fine, too.

  • U can give her mashed potatoes, fries with the ends cut off. Soft foods. She can have pudding. How many teeth does she have? Don't give her formula plus real milk,it will upset her tummy and make her sick.
