Where can I buy chilacayote, cucurbita ficifolia, shark fin melon?

I am in riverside, california and I want to buy a pumpking that is called chilacayote or cucurbita ficifolia or shark fin melon, I have already ask on the mexican markets around here but they just don't know.

  • I live in Ohio and during the summer I can buy chayotes at Wal-Mart, I think they're the same thing as the chilacayote. Maybe check there. If there are farmers markets where you live I would check there, and if you don't see any maybe the farmers would know of somebody that grows them.
