  • How deep is the cut? Check that out. Wrap it tight. Take her to the ER if it is more than 3/8 to 1/2 inch deep.

  • i cut myself alot when i was pregnant, several times with a knife and sometimes on the edge of a can lid. i was clumsy as hell.

anyway, as soon as it cut i stuck it under cold water and applied pressure to it for several minutes. if i lifted my finger and the blood gushed back out, i used a clean rag or towel and applied pressure to it more. sometimes it helps to lift the arms up over the head, it will force blood flow back to the heart. if this is going on for more than 30 minutes (ive bled out that long and was fine), not letting up at all, she gets pale or dizzy, go to the ER

  • Apply pressure and hold it above the heart. You can also put ice on it this helps clot the blood.

  • My grandma always made us put sugar on our wound and run cold water on it (sounds crazy but it works) it will stop the bleeding. But if its bad go to the ER.

  • If it is a manageable cut and isn't too deep and doesn't need stitches you need to rinse it off and then apply pressure. Additionally you need some kind of ointment or one of those medicated bandaids to help it heal properly and keep out the dirt until it forms a new skin. there also is something called "new skin" which helps to create a new skin on deep cuts and wounds faster.
