cake size question???

I am making m6y daughter's cake for her birthday and there will be ten people there all together. What size cake pan should I use?

  • 10X13 sheet or a nine inch round double layer.

  • I personally would make an 8 or 9 inch round or square layered cake (2 layers with 1 layer of filling), or a 9x13 which is the same as a 1/4 sheet. Either one would leave leftovers. Can't get much smaller though ;).

  • I always make a 6 or 8 inch stacked round and then cupcakes. If there are going to be a lot of kids cupcakes are the way to go. Less mess and Less waste.
