Does anyone know if Electroculvulsive Theropy is covered by medicaid/medicare?

  • Depends on the type of plan that you are under with each program. Medicaid in most states is ALWAYS the payor of last resort so you have to go through any other insurance carriers. Call the provider of the service, get the 5-digit procedure code they use to bill Medicaid/Medicare and call both companies to find out if it is covered. They wull look up your account to determine the plan you are on, and compare the procedure code to your plan to determine eligibility.
