  • I believe it is between 35 and 37 lbs although it depends. My oldest was very small for his age and when he it 4 he fell off the chart at the doctors because they move to a different chart at 4 years. From the time he was born until then he was in the 10th percentile for weight. He was doing everything he should developmentally and he was following his own weight gain so the doctor wasn't worried.

    Good Luck!

  • it would be better to compare their height and weight to see if they're close. my oldest son is very tall so he weighs more, but he's still so skinny lol. so if you were to look at his weight without his height he would be overweight. the dr. should show you their height/weight on the growth chart for you to compare (or if you know their height and weight you could look up a growth chart online and compare on that). the sex of the child also matters.

  • My ds will be 4 on the 28th and is heavy for his age (53.5 lbs). However the doctor isn't worried because he really is solid and is fine with his height. He doesn't look like he is that big either. All kids are different.

  • I am not sure but when my 5.5 year old was 4 she was 32 pounds not sure how much she weighs now

  • That would depend on their height. My 4 1/2yo is 42 or 43" tall and is only like 32lbs. She's skinny but tall (already wearing 6slim jeans, 5slim also fit her in length). My oldest was like 38" and 30lbs at 4 (she was barely 39" and 32lbs when she started kindergarten). She is just tiny. At 10 she is 4'3" and 50lbs. Most kids her age are a good 4-6 inches taller than her and weigh 70+lbs. Like my 9yo son (he's 4'6" and 70lbs). At 4 he was 44" and 47lbs (or something like that). My 8yo was 40" and 40lbs at 4 (I remember them all being 4s, lol). She's 4'2" and 54lbs now (skinny as heck compared to as a toddler).
