2 Bumps

If you have a 4 almost 5 year old are they in a booster?

I just bought a high back booster seat for my 4 year old. He is about 45- 50 pounds, and about 45 inches tall...

  • Granddaughter is 6, but I don't even think she is 50 lbs yet! LOL! She's in a booster, yes.

  • My 6 and 7 yr old GKs are still in boosters one is barely 50 lbs the other is 9 pounds shy of that. By law here they will be in boosters for a long time to come. They have to meet HT and WT..or age requirements here.

  • My son is heavy for his age - in a healthy way, before the bashing starts - & he is still in a booster seat. He is 6 1/2. And he will continue to be in a booster seat until the seatbelt fits him properly without it.

  • My kids were each in boosters until they were around 9 years old, that was when they were each big enough for the seat belt to fit properly.

  • The Graco Nautilus will harness up to 65 pounds and booster up to 100. That's what both of my kids are in.

  • I went to a carseat clinic where I live and thought they would recommend a five point harness for my son, who at that time was three. They actually put him in a highback booster because of his height and weight. Now he is about the same height and weight as your child.
