  • It's both the good and the bad in politics (and by politics I include the UN) that 99.9% of the people involved are complete f'n morons when it comes to internet technology. Even if they have the on-paper authority to write up rules like that, they don't have the power. They think they do, but the internet has grown now to the point that it is beyond their ability to control it. That's why they hate it so much.

They came first for the Communists,
    and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Communist.

Then they came for the trade unionists,
    and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Jews,
    and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Jew.

    Then they came for me
and by that time no one was left to speak up.

No you don't. You speak up for what doesn't inconvenience you, personally.

  • NP, you have no idea of who I am and what I stand up for, I don't consider getting inconvenienced when I speak for those who get stomped on, and beleive me when I say that none of it affects me personally. Please refrain from telling me how I feel and what I do, because you have no clue.

  • What if they decided that ALL chat sites were "illegal?!" What if they shut down CafeMom?! God forbid people are allowed to chat with one another, learn new things, read about bills and government control issues, lest we become educated and join together in great numbers to question our elected officials!!

Older, I know you were a young child in Cuba when you came to the US. However, I'm sure you realize how little information was/still is inaccessible by everyday folks thanks to Castro's reign! Imagine if the people were empowered to learn about everything their government was doing and why? Do you really think they would have remained oppressed all of these years?! When you isolate citizens they are much weaker than when they join together for the greater good!

  • Older, it would become about what THEY have to hide. Not you.
