Do you find that Mom or Dad give better advice when you are having relationship problems
with your husband or significant other?
I dont think it is a good idea to discuss your marital issues with your parents.
I have gotten very good advice from my step mother about relationships in general. But I wouldnt go to her with a specific issue unless it was rather benign. If I had a real issue and had no other place to go... I might consider it, I know I would get excellant advice... but then you run the risk of damaging the relationship between your husband and your parents. Parents can hold a grude longer than a spouce sometimes... that whole mama bear thing kicks in when someone hurts your baby.
