Why are you a republican/vote republican?

My husband and I were having a debate last night and it made me curious. I'm not here to judge your side or bash...I just want to know if i have grounds in our debate! :)

Are you republican/vote republican becuase:

A) You like the views (pro-life, NRA, etc)
B) Make a lot of money and like the reblican tax breaks.
C) Just picking the lesser of two evils.

Then tell me if you consider yourself:

A) poor
B) middle class
C) upper class.

Tell me all that applies! Thank you!

  • I'm a republican because I agree with most of their views as opposed to the democrats. I don't feel like the government should regulate everything to death, or be my nanny.
    I am middle class.

  • I'm Republican because the values most closely associate with my own. I can't stand most Democrats. I am far from rich, in fact, right now, we are probably lower-middle-class.

  • I generally vote republican because it's the lesser of two bad choices. The candidates I would prefer for any given office have zero chance of winning because of our corrupt election process and two-party system... so it's either vote for someone that I agree with on 50-60% (the important 50-60%) of issues, or someone I either don't agree with at all or only a very small percentage. so,

    A. I agree on the important issues (which for me are mainly fiscal/policy)
    B. I don't think anyone should be penalized for being successful, I don't have to be rich to think that taxes should be fair
    C. In part, yes. Sometimes I do genuinely like the candidate. That's typically for local candidates.

    We are middle class.
