  • In the book of Leviticus, chapter 11, v. 7, it is recorded that God declares the pig to be unclean for believers. Then, in verse 8, God says: “You must not eat their meat or touch their carcasses; they are unclean for you.” This command is repeated in Deuteronomy 14:7-8. Then, in Isaiah 65:2-4, and 66:17

  • Because back in those days the people DID NOT cook anything to well done, nor did they know  what sanitation was. We eat it today and dont die because we use safe food practices. Also I'm a Christian and NOT a Jew. I also DONT sacrafice animals on an alter. Jesus dies and was the Ultimate sacrafice and ended that practice for Christians!

  • because alot of christians are what I like to call "convienent christians" they take what works for them from the bible and say the hell with the rest of it. just one more reason why I think religion is a bunch of pork bologna.

  • It is good to ask questions...that is what helps us to have some understanding of our faith. I also worried about these verses. Read these verses for some greater insight. Matt. 15:17-18 Acts 10, Colossians 2:20-23 and Romans 14 1-3 Hope these lead you to more growth. take care.

  • Because we live under the law of grace. It is not about being coventnant Christians or not. In the new testament after Jesus died and was reserrected(spelling) Paul tells the people that we are now no longer under the disanpation(spelling)stage of the law. with each new disanpation came a new covenant so we are now living under the new covenenant we do refer back to the old testament a lot inorder to know what God required back then vs what He required now we use it as examples of Gods deliverence.

  • Because the bible is so full of errors and contradictions they are not sure what to do. OK half kidding. The book is greatly outdated as a previous poster noted.
