Anyone ever use sunflower oil for anything??? helpp!!! its urgent!

i cant find it anywhere .. where i live at! soo what would be the closest thing to it ? im making authentic german potatoe salad! ahh and hubby is at store buying my stuff for me i just told him to get sesame seed oil ... any advise

  • Sesame seed oil would be fine, as long as it's not the asian 'blended' kind.

    Safflower would be fine, as would canola, grapeseed, rice bran or corn oil. Any light-tasting oil would be fine.

  • ugh..hit enter too soon. Sesame seed oil has a very pronounced taste. Sunflower is a very light taseless oil.

  • I looked it up, and you can substitute plain old vegetable oil for the sunflower oil, with only a slight change in the taste.
