Cookbook for a New Mom?

What do you think is the best cookbook for a new mom or bride just starting out?
Someone who has not had a lot of experience in the kitchen?

  • Ever since discovering, I hardly even touch a cookbook anymore. Maybe compile a binder with some awesome recipes, make it look all pretty, and give that as a gift. You can't get ratings and user comments from a cookbook!

  • Better Homes and Garden. It has a plaid pattern on the front. I bought one for my DIL who didn't know how to boil eggs. She is now a great cook.

  • IMO and what I would suggest to a new bride or mom is Best thing that I ever found :-) I've got a Better Home's and Garden that I got as a wedding gift and I barely use it.
