What could possibly go wrong? (Health Care)

Let me get this straight . . . .

We're going to be "gifted" with a health care plan
we are forced to purchase and fined if we don't,
Which purportedly covers at least ten million more people,
without adding a single new doctor
but provides for 16,000 new IRS agents,

written by a committee whose chairman
says he
doesn't understand it,

by a Congress that didn't read it
but exempted themselves from it,

and signed by a President who smokes,
with funding administered by a treasury chief
who didn't pay his taxes,

for which we'll be
taxed for four years before
benefits take effect
by a government which has
already bankrupted Social Security and Medicare,
all to be overseen by a surgeon general
who is
obeseand financed by a country that's broke!!!!!

'What could possibly go wrong?'

  • You forgot that this same health plan kills our infants and elderly. The people in charge may have said they found a way around it, but they haven't. It's still there.

  • I totally agree with Maxine.

And I also don't watch FNC. I read the health care bill. How does that fit into the study? Hmm?

Answer by May-20 at 12:12 AM on Dec. 19, 2010

  • I, too, read the health care bill - except that I skipped the hundreds of pages which were devoted to a re-write of the Indian Affairs medical program, since I had no knowledge of the current program to give me insight into what was being changed.

"Maxine's" concerns are superficial and trivial compared to the blockbuster, blow-you-away gov't invasions and takeovers contained in it.

An additional stunner, as you try to read through it for details and for an understanding of what each piece would actually DO, is that over and over the real details were procrastinated into the domain of the yet-to-be-appointed chief of the new department or head of the yet-to-be-created board or panel.

For instance, although the new chief would have power to require new things of doctors or hospitals, nothing of WHAT those requirements might include was defined.

A plethora of blank checks ...

    & that's just ONE concern ...
