  • Eat well, get enough rest and drink plenty of plain water.

Your nails (and skin and hair) are an excellent gauge of how healthy you are. The healthier you are, the stronger your nails will be. If you're deficient in minerals and some vitamins, or have one of many chronic illnesses, your nails will be just like yours are.

  • Keep them moisurized. Wash dishes and clean house with rubber gloves on. Excess water and chemicals dry them out

  • Two things will work FOR SURE:

    1. Zinc. Take a good zinc supplement (beyond that in your multi). 4 times a week.
    2. Biotin. It's a B vitamin, so you need all the B's for it to work best, but in addition to the B-complex in your multi, take additional Biotin.

If your nails are brittle and discolored, you probably have a nail fungus. After washing up at bedtime, apply a little Tea Tree Oil (with a fresh cotton swab) to both sides of each nail. Massage it in, then apply your hand lotion (the lotion will reduce the strength of the smell - which isn't bad, but is pungent).

Within 2 weeks, you will see results.
