What do you think of boy names for girls?

Just wondering. No bashing please.

My dd is named after my dad, his name is Richard. I wanted to call her Ricki but could agree on a "formal" name for Ricki. So, she's Ricki. Not everyone I meet likes it but I don't really care.

Just wondering what do you think of boy names for girls?

  • I am not a fan but I don't judge others who use them! Besides, you have honored your dad and that is what matters.

  • I think Ricki is cute for a girl, but is her actual name Richard? I like certain "boy" names for girls like Cameron, Jordan, Jalen (but spelled Jaelyn)....I have a girl cousin named Evan. I like that too.

  • I'm okay with some and with others I think they make better nicknames. EI- I like the idea of naming a girl Jamie and calling her James. But if she turns into a girly girl, well, then it'll be good.
But I know a girl named Michael. She's something like the 5th girl and her dad never got a boy to name after himself so she got lucky enough to get it. LoL.

  • It all really depends on the name.

  • My middle name is Andrew. I carried a monogrammed pocketbook back in high school and people would ask me what the "A" stood for and I told them Andrew. They thought I was crazy.
