Can I wash it at home??

So we are going to church in about an hour, probably not leaving enough time for me to figure this out, but my DH has a 100% silk tie that our 20 month old got lotion all over. Is there any remedies or anyway that I can clean that that won't ruin it?? Heaven knows that he probably won't be able to wear it today, but would like to know so he will be able to wear it in the future. And the only reason that he has one tie is because he isn't a member of this religion, but is taking his time investigating.

  • I would bring it to the cleaners, it won't cost that much for a tie. Also theres oil on it, if not for that I'd say wash it.

  • Lots of times when you wash a tie the lining puckers and that ruins it. I would take it to a dry cleaners.
