  • In Fla, at 16 they can get a driving permit which allows them to drive with a licenced adult driver, and a year after their regular one.

  • Here in OH they can get their learners permit at 15 1/2 and their license at 16. My children, however, were not allowed to get their license until they started the 11th grade & they were allowed to get their learners permit 6 mos. before then. My oldest son was the only exception...he was 15 when he started the 11th grade (turned 16 a few days later) and was 16 when he started his Senior year so he was not allowed to get his license until he was a Senior and 17. My other sons were 17 1/2, 17 1/2 and 16 & 2 mos. when they got their temps and 18, almost 18 and almost 17 when they got their licenses.

  • When do children get their licenses in my state - well the state of NC states that at the age of 15 AFTER taking Driver's Ed. they can go for their learner's permit. After a full year, they can try for their provisional driver's license. IN our house, it is WHEN WE say they can.
