28 month old seems to be reverting on potty training and sleeping in toddler bed.

our 28 month old daughter has been sleeping in her toddler bed since she was 22 months old, we've never pressured her too she just automatically started sleeping in it, well for the past month or so she refuses to sleep in there instead wanting to sleep in her crib (which is still assembled for the new baby due in sept.) or with us. she also has been potty training since 18 months and as of a couple weeks ago was fully day time trained and working on nights now she refuses to use her potty chair or toilet and instead wants to wear diapers, throwing a fit if we don't put them on her.
what can we do to help her get back into potty training and sleeping in her own bed? it's really frustrating when she was doing so well. any tips suggestions would be great.

  • It sounds to me as if she is feeling threatened with the new baby coming and has digressed some. This is a normal stage for most kids to go thru. Continue to work with her and make the baby's arrival a happy thing. You might need to just spend some more quality one on one time with her to make her still feel important and special.
