How do I cook a turkey breast?

I am making it for Christmas and have never made it before. What do you suggest? Counter top roasting oven or in the regular oven? How about using those oven bags that seal the juices in?

  • I'd go with the cooking bag. White meat gets dried out quickly

  • I cook them all the time, here's what I do : I put the turkey breast in a roaster, pour a couple of cans of Swanson chicken broth in and cover tightly with foil (keeps the steam in and makes it real moist) bake it the recommended time and last 15 mins of baking remove foil and brown.

  • I don't know how big your family is but anytime I've cooked a turkey I always get a boneless all white meat turkey and put him in the crockpot to cook all day-less mess and it frees up your oven for other fixings.
