Should women who are not moms, stepmoms, adoptive moms, or ttc be allowed here on cafemom?

Why or why not? I have seen a recent profile that states she doesn't fall into any mom category at all. So, in your opinion should women in general be allowed to be on cafemom?

  • I've seen a few profiles where they said their dog or cat is their child. I don't care they aren't hurting anyone.

  • Children or wanting children is what bonds everyone on here. If someones on here b/c she's a woman she will probably feel out of place. She can't really give advice b/c she hasn't been there. So what's the point of being on here? Also, I think the men should stop coming on here too lol I've seen 3 in the last week.

  • I dont know why you would want to be here if you weren't a mom or trying to become a mom. I know people love their pets but they are NOT children. They need to go join a pet forum or something.

  • I don't think that they should be on here. It is we have in common.

  • I don't want anyone that has not felt the joys or sorrows of raising their children - be it birth, step, or adopted - on here giving advice.
TTC - sure no problem. Fostering - great! But men and women that are not and will - by their own choice - never be mothers - go to Facebook, MySpace etc.

  • I don't appreciate, or take very lightly to advice from a non-parent whom has never been there.....I have a SIL whom has no children and no clue, it drives me nuts!!!!........If you haven't been there or close to there, you can't help and need to find another site!
