Dolls, Dolls, and more dolls

Christmas isn't even here yet and my daughter's getting ELEVEN dolls from people so far. She's ten months old lol. She's not even interested in dolls. I guess they'll sit in her room until she is. Anyone else experience this type of overkill with a specific toy?

  • One of my daughters has a birthday around Easter time. When she was younger she always got tons of stuffed rabbits. It got pretty out of control there for awhile. Finally when she got old enough & someone said "What do you want for your birthday?", she would say "I don't want any more stuffed rabbits!"

  • Yes, with my 5 year old and Barbie's for her most recent birthday. Some were even duplicates. It's like Barbie World exploded in her bedroom overnight.

  • Ah that's cute. Is she maybe the first or only girl in the family?

  • She's the first girl born into our family in this generation. I think it stems from the fact that everyone says she looks more like a doll than a child. I'm just surprised that everyone bought her a doll .. not clothes, a ball, or another toy .. just dolls lol.
