  • I only have one child. But we always buy him 10 gifts, 1 big. This year I think he got 2 big and 12 presents. :) His grandparents, aunts, uncles also buy him lots as well.

  • My Husband and I always wind up spending more on Our Son than We plan to..ever since before He was Born! It's just so easy to want to buy, Buy, BUY - after all, He deserves it more than any kid out there and We can't help but spoil the poo outta Him! =]

  • I didn't...when they were little I got them stuff but mainly I knew that since they were small, all the other relatives where going to splurge on them. I get them nice stuff now because once they pass 13, people tend to forget about them as kids and the presents from others deminish.

  • I was the same way the first 2 years or so.. Now I know better lol I'm enjoying to "easy" years while they last, when my daughter would be perfectly happy with a $5 Barbie doll and my son is only interested in the wrapping paper haha.. They each have 6 presents a piece and 1 big gift "from Santa".. but that also doesn't include the spoiling they get from my parents! My mother probably bought then each double the amount I did although I kept telling her it wasn't necessary lol

  • I try to keep it even, but it doesn't always work out. And this year the two older boys (17 & *8) asked for expensive gifts. THey got them (THANKS TO LAYAWAY!!!) but the youngest (6) asked for something simple and only cost $35. I do not want to buy a bunch of junk he won't use or really like just to make it all even. We have been wracking our brains trying to figure out what to get him to at least bring his gifts up to $100......... This has been a better year than last. We started layaway early. And I worked cleaning a friends house every week for cash. It has been a blessing and I can't wait for my boys to open their gifts.
