2 Bumps

How did/do you get through the "biting stage"?

We simply would let my son (2 at the time) know it was not "OK" to do this and take him out of the situation. (we didn't do the biting him thing) However, another child did bite him (hard) and my son no longer bit anyone.

  • I too explained to him that it was not okay, that he was hurting me and then brought him to time out. Eventually he just out grew it.

  • I explained it was not ok to bite, I have never biten my child and inflicted pain to make them see they were not doing something right, but only one of my kids have been a biter and she out grew it quickly.
