Would you cancel the appointment?

I have a dentist appointment tomorrow, for a check-up and cleaning. I already canceled last week due to really bad weather and driving conditions and my mom not being able to get to my house to watch my son.

Now, this week, I'm sick and can't breathe through my nose and can't stop coughing. Not only do I think it would make for a difficult appointment, but I don't want to get anyone sick.

Should I cancel again? I feel horrible making yet another appointment.

  • Tell them you're sick, they'll ask you to cancel! This same situation happened to me last year, and I felt weird cancelling again, so I called them and they told me to reschedule. I offered to bring my sick butt in!

  • I would and just explain to them you are sick.

  • Yes. Just tell them that you're too sick. Tell them you'll call back when you feel better so you don't have to reschedule again.

  • Cancel again - they don't want to see you sick.

  • Ok, thanks ladies. I called and canceled and apologized. I felt like such an idiot, but they were really nice.
