  • We have gumbo. YUM!!! We eat it while we bake Birthday cakes for Baby Jesus with the children.

  • That is so general, and there are so many good menus. I think it depends on how many people, tradition, and personality.

My family on my mother's side does a large potluck dinner on Christmas Eve, with tamales, beans and rice as the things we can count on, and then whatever everyone brings for potluck to go with it.

When I do Christmas Eve at home, we make a variety of appetizers and fingerfoods this would be a menu for us at home:

Baby Burritos with guacamole and salsa
    Sausage Balls
    Tortilla roll ups
    Mini Sausages in BBQ Sauce
    Spinach Artichoke Dip
    Broccoli Cheese Dip
    Cheeseball with crackers
Hummus with mushroom topping and pitas

We just put it out a little at a time, and nibble all evening.
