Is it normal to feel a loss of movement?

I'm 36 weeks and lately have not feel him move as much as he did a week or so ago. All I feel is a kick here or there, not the flip/flop as before. Is this normal?

  • Near the end of pregnancy your baby is growing larger and larger and has a lot less space for kicking and punching. It's not as easy for him to practice karate moves- but I'm sure he's perfectly healthy. Mention it to your Doc at your next appointment.

  • Yes it is totally normal. They say that babies toward the end of pregnancy move less....they have less room to move and babies spend 90% of their time sleeping

  • Yeah, its getting closer and his size is increasing as well. The bigger he gets the lest room he has to move. Just make sure he is moving though, because if he stops all together thats dangerous.

  • Just running out of room... count 10 movements in 2 hours, if he is still moving that much then don't worry
