  • Maybe b/c they dont have the peace that comes from having the Lord in their lives or in their heart. Merry Christmas to you too. (*Those words are meant to be a heartfelt sentiment of this season & what it stands for. I dont like that some view them as "bad words", while other religous holiday greetings are perfectly acceptable. ) So again, I say with love in my heart - MERRY CHRISTMAS! :)

  • If you don't like the Question, move along, right?

so, why is it that you bother answering any of mine then? Hypocritical much?

Answer by ObbyDobbie at 5:51 PM on Dec. 20, 2010

  • Thanks for the warning, Kristi. I might have answered, but I don't think the OP is really wanting valid responses. . . or she wouldn't have worded the question the way she did. I think it was meant to be rhetorical. . . but I don't think she sees how hostile her questions usually are. . .

Oh. . . wait. . . I think I just served dinner with desert.  Oops!

    Oh, okay, here's a "fourth meal". . .

OP. . . "Non-believers" in what, exactly?  If I knew to whom you were directing your question, I'd answer.  Are you talking about non-believers in global warming?  The Tooth-Fairy?  High interest rates?  Non-believers in what?

  • things get hostile in most religious and political forums/debates. both from believers and non-believers. its about "my way is the right way" kind of thing. dont let it bother you :) Merry Christmas!

  • I think there are just as many "hostile" believers to tell you the truth. It comes from both sides
I always try to be respectful

  • I'm not hostile. I could care less what people say about their religion or the holidays I just get upset when they push it on me. Say Merry Christmas all you want.

Answer by mommy_of_two388 at 5:35 PM on Dec. 20, 2010

  • believers are the hostile ones. they're always trying to shove their religion down other's throats

Answer by momofone725 at 6:06 PM on Dec. 20, 2010

  • I'd just like to point out that I am a believer (in God & Jesus) but I do not preach to others. I do not shove my religion down their throats. However, I do want the right to say Merry Christmas without being made to feel ashamed or offensive.

  • Because dealing with Christian fanatics is much like I imagine dealing with a really nasty case of genital warts would be like. It would make anyone cranky.
