Spicey food

how bad is it to eat spicey foods when pregant besides it causing all the lovely body function such as gas and heartburn. is this harmful to the baby?

  • It is not harmful to the baby. I love spicy foods but had to be careful during pregnancy because they gave me heartburn.

  • This is a good question. I just finished eating a chicken fajita with chile paste, and it was sooo goood, I only want food that has a zing. I too wondered if it could hurt the baby.

  • thanks for the advice i love spicy food and its bad enough i have to give up sushi let alone spicey food id be a very unhappy camper lol

    but for some reason spicy food (and plantains) are the only foods i can eat without getting heartburn.
