  • Nope they will live. It would depend on the circumstance though.

  • I would be livid if my child was denied any meal.

  • Depends on why, I suppose. If they just didn't feel hungry or really hated what was being served and made the choice to not eat, I probably wouldn't have a huge problem, unless it was habitual. If it was more of they weren't given opportunity to eat, or something of that nature - I would be upset.

  • mine did...the kid sitting next to him knocked his whole lunch on the floor and when my 5 year old told the cafeteria monitor she said it was too bad...even though I had just sent in a $50 check for his I know he had enough money to cover another lunch. I was pissed off but haven't said anything yet.

  • MommyH2, that's when I'd be right there asking why. 5 is pretty little to miss meals and especially when it wasn't his fault and the monitor KNEW there was a problem.... ummm oooo no I think not...

  • if my child was flat out DENIED food at school or elsewhere, i would raise holy heck. if my child CHOOSE to not eat or lost the priveledge of lunch time due to bad behaviour i would not freak.

  • My kids go without lunch plenty of days. When they don't have school we usually have a late breakfast and then we have an early dinner. So no lunch. If they are hungry I will make them something but two meals is usually plenty for them.

  • There is no reason whatsoever that any child should be denied lunch at school. I would be asking WTH happened.

  • Wanted to add.. I pack my boys lunch, and only one will eat. The other is too busy flapping the lips. I don't freak out. He just has to finish his lunch when he comes home.
