  • You can always call a vet and ask their opinion. was it just plain water in the tree resovoir? or with chemicals?

if it had chemicals then you should take him in.

    good luck.

  • it is just water, but i have read online that the tree could have been sprayed with chemicals while growing etc.. i think i will call the vet tomorrow. they definitely do not like to offer FREE advice.

  • That is a possibility but your cat could also have a hairball. Sometimes all you will see is regurgitated food if the hairball is big enough the food can't get through. Another possibility is that the cat ate something and it is stuck.  Calling the vet would be a good idea.

  • Please call the vet. There are some plants that are very toxic to animals and i would imagine that toxicity could be transferred in the water. I hope your kitty feels better soon.

  • Call the vet...they will tell you whether or not to bring your cat in. If they say you need to..please do. Money shouldn't come into it, they are a family member and depend on you to care for them.

  • Yes call the vet. I read the same article about tree water which prompted us to get a fake tree this year. Good luck hope your cat is okay.
