Do you get your teens boy friend/ girl friend a gift?

I am a bit broke this year so I can not do it. But I would love to. They have been dating for 2.5 years.

  • Depends on how long they've been dating. 2 1/2 years is a long time so i would get them something small

  • It would be nice since they have been dating for a while. How about re-gifting something nice that you have but don't use? At the drug store you could get her inexpensive perfume or a nail polish/makeup kit or a holiday mug & cocoa set for like $5.

  • I would and I would probably get a gift card ($10) from a gas station, teens always need and appreciate free gas.

  • If they are gonna be there when gifts are opened then they should have something to open too. 2 1/2 years is a long time, I would get her something. Why not do something little (like a gift card with $10 or 15 on it and maybe some home made cookies or something. I also like the idea of regifting, you know we all have an unopened bath set or something (in fact I am pretty sure it is the SAME bath set being passed around everywhere, who has it now lol) Also a nice card saying something about how glad you are that your child has found someone so nice or something would probably be a treasured gift (especially if they one day get married)

  • My 27 yr old old single mom daughter living at home with us and her boyfriend too (he pays us rent). No gifts for him as we are too broke but wish I could at least give him a gift card for gas...that would be a nice gift. I don't believe in regifting.
