how often should my 9 week old have bowel movements?

On Friday I switched my daughter from soy formula to nutramigen and ever since she has been pooping at least 4 or more times a day. They are lime green and runny. I am curious if this is normal or if I should take her to the doctor

  • I could just be getting used to the different formula. If it continues for another day, I would call the doctor.

  • it could be the formula... my girls pooped a TON if they had formula... if she is eating well and peeing i wouldn't worry too much.

  • Hmmm. Not sure. I know more about breastfed baby poo. (Yellow and runny. lol) Hope the switch works out.

  • Breastfed babies will go more than a week between bowel movements

  • It takes a few days for her to get used to the formula. You can always call your Dr and ask.
